Providing Opportunities in Vocational Training

These skills are crucial in personal development programs, offering practical knowledge and fostering holistic growth. Literacy, numeracy, Biblical discipleship, goal setting, financial counseling, and budgeting equip individuals to lead purposeful lives and contribute positively to their communities.

Life skills training

Each parent chooses a path for training. Vocational training is then offered via an accredited vocational school or apprenticeship in areas such as hairdressing, tailoring, sewing and auto mechanics.

Funding for Vocational training

upon successful completion of training, HLK-Bazadde Care staff members continue to mentor parents to encourage growth in workplace skills such as interpersonal relationships, employment communication, leadership, problem solving, time management, decision making, workplace etiquette.

Job Coaching

The final piece of the program is to assist parents as they establish a successful long term income position. Because many parents will choose to start a small business, HLK-Bazadde Care offers small business grants to provide start-up capital.

Who is eligible for the parent support program?

We work with under-resourced parents in Uganda who are committed to improving their family's situation. Parents are recruited through office visits, home visits, and collaboration with local leaders.

What is job coaching and how does it help?

Job coaching helps parents develop workplace skills like communication, leadership, problem-solving, time management, and professional etiquette. This ensures they succeed in their chosen careers or businesses.
